- Enjoy a stroll around historical Windsor.
Grab a 20-minute taxi or a 45-minute bus from Park Grand Heathrow and head over to Windsor for a little sightseeing. It was founded by William the Conqueror and has been maintained in pristine condition, William would surely be delighted by how it has aged. If you’re a Meghan Markle fan you might be delighted to know that this is where she married Prince Harry - don’t know if you’ve head of him - back in May 2018.
If you enjoy a long walk in the English countryside, hit up Windsor Great Park for the most beautiful British walk. If you’re travelling with a dog, this is a must-do. Plenty of dogs are coasting by off-leash, enjoying their best life.
- Indulge in a cup of afternoon tea
Leave Park Grand Kensington for Indian Afternoon tea near the airport. It’s a mere 15 minute trip from Heathrow to Southall. The area has a vibrant Indian culture where you can enjoy food, sweets, and shops. This is where you’ll also find the largest Sikh temple outside India!
- Release your inner child and head to Legoland!
We can all remember playing with Legos, wasn’t that fun? If this is an activity that you missed out on in childhood, there is time for redemption if you’re staying at one of the Park Grand Hotels near the Heathrow Airport. It’s a mere 21 minutes by car, just follow the yellow bricks!
Needless to say, this is the ultimate spot to visit if you’re travelling with children! Do note that certain attractions at the theme park have certain height restrictions if your little nugget is celebrating a birthday, head over to the Guest Services and collect a free birthday badge.
- The Infamous London Eye
If you want a taste of downtown London, rent a car for a one hour journey to the London Eye. It surely is a sight for sore eyes! One of the most iconic attractions in London, it’s a whopping 135 meters tall and visible from almost everywhere in the city. The London Eye also happens to be the worlds largest cantilevered observation wheel. If you happen to be staying at a Pay Later Hotels, the London Eye might be enough to make you miss your flight and stay just one more day. But this is a risk you take when visiting the London Eye on a layover.
Just make sure that you make it back on time, don’t miss your next exciting destination!
