Noble Rot Bar & Restaurant


This Parisian style wine bar with have you feeling like you’ve stepped right off of the windswept streets of Paris, rather than London. Noble Rot, found on Lamb’s Conduit Street in Holborn offers a vast array of wines, as well as a seasonal British menu. Although effortlessly chic, the atmosphere is relaxed, making it the perfect place to enjoy not only a few glasses of vino, but a delicious meal, too.



Sager + Wilde Wine Bar


With exposed brick walls and bare, wooden floors, Sager + Wilde is fairly edgy for a wine bar - but considering the fact this it’s tucked away on the streets of Hackney, you wouldn’t really expect anything less. With wines from around the world available by the glass or bottle, you’d be mad not to order one of their sharing platters to accompany your tipple.



Terroirs, Trafalgar Square & East Dulwich


Boasting natural and organic wines, Terroirs has two branches: one centrally located and another in the south of the city. Serving wines specifically selected for Terroirs’ belief that they encapsulate the country from which they originated, both wine bars offer tasting sessions for novices and pros alike.


If you’re considering making the trip, you might want to consider staying in one of the corporate hotels London has, even if you’re not in the city for business; classic and comfortable, hotels like the Park Grand Hotel Hyde Park offer fantastic stays, as do many other Hyde Park accommodations.



Gordon’s Wine Bar


Another wine specialist located in Charing Cross, Gordon’s offers the opportunity to sip your grapes in candlelit, Dickensian-esque vaults. Established in 1890, this is London’s oldest wine bar, with an award-winning wine list comprising red, white and rosé, but also fortified, vegan and organic wines, too. For a slightly more unusual wine bar experience, Gordon’s would have to be the one for you.



Bottles


With a wine bar in Old Spitalfields Market and another in Chelsea, Bottles couldn’t be any more aptly named, as there’s plenty to choose from! Focusing primarily on wines from various Italian regions, Bottles specialise in providing products from sustainable, independent, organic and bio-dynamic producers. There’s some tempting Italian nibbles on the menu, too.



The Remedy


If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy some fine wines with friends in a cosy and relaxed setting, the Remedy in Fitzrovia could be the bar for you. With a wine list that’s updated almost weekly, the owners are constantly on the hunt for worldwide wines and offering them a home in London.
