How to Do Daily Pooja With Mantras

Rating & reviews (0 reviews)
Individuals perform puja to worship the deities. Puja cannot be done whenever we wish, but there are timings and muhurat to conduct it, as per our ancestors and scriptures.

The Shubh choghadiya muhurat is considered the most satvik because Sato Guna (the mode of goodness) is most active then. The result is a calm and intensely concentrated mind. Conducting the daily Pooja involves several rituals and procedures, including Mantra japa, chanting shlokas, and even fire rites. Together, these actions produce the vibration and energies needed to achieve blessings and positivity. Devotees offer several types of pujas to the god they have faith.

Here’s how you can perform Puja.

How to Perform Puja?

  1. Take a bath and wear clean clothes.

  2. Sit in front of the deity in a meditative pose and offer prayers.

  3. Invite the deity by chanting mantras and offering flowers.

  4. Take a sip of water from your right hand to take a vow for the ritual.

  5. Bathe the murti (a symbolic form of god) with water and auspicious items like milk, curd, or honey while chanting mantras.

  6. Dress the deity with fresh clothes. Apply tilak to the deity (creator) and offer flowers. Keep chanting the name of God in the process.

  7. Light a Dhoop or Agarbatti (incense sticks) and worship the deity. Expand the smoke all over the house.

  8. Light a Diya (lamp) and rotate it with ghanti (Bell) clockwise in front of the deity, chanting the mantra simultaneously.

  9. Offer Sweets and Coconut to God.

  10. After conducting the puja mentioned above, chant shlokas and stutis.

  11. Ask forgiveness for any mistake while chanting the mantra.

  12. Consume and distribute the sweets and coconut pieces in the form of Prasad.
