Overview:

The Yoga retreats in Nepal is held in the sublime lake district of Pokhara, Nepal in a valley surrounded by high-rising snow peaks that you will be able to see from your living quarters. A little winding way off from the resort, going into the lush greens of Pokhara, you will find yourself by the emerald green lake and the forested outskirts. Looking on from the resort garden, there is the World Peace Stupa standing towered over the vicinity. The days here are abuzz with activities besides tuning one’s mind, body, and soul with the yogic discipline. From bird-watching to a fiesty barbeque under the starlit sky, and hiking into the wooded slopes-- there’s always something fun and adventurous on the cards here at Nepal.

To transform your soul to the higher natures a comprehensive yogic discipline is followed. Starting from the morning, there are -- worship, asanas, meditation, mantra chanting, yogic philosophical discourses, ayurvedic healing, and dietary discourses touched upon in some detail on this weekly curriculum. The targets of the physical and meditation practice combined with supporting discourses and studies are to establish a self-propelled, and committed lifelong yogic living. Mind-body purification and healing with Ayurveda is an essential part of this program. At the end of the 3 days sojourn, you shall come out detoxified and full of good energy!

Center:

Tushita-Nepal is the ideal home for the yogic seeker. Poetically named, literally meaning, heaven, Tushita is a well-kept home for our participants. Clean and comfortable rooms with windows opening up to the mountains, a patch of organic farming land within the complex, a fully equipped kitchen for providing kosher vegetarian and vegan meals, and a library make up the Tushita yogic home. Complete restfulness and introspective solo time, a replenishing diet from an able kitchen staff and the overall friendly atmosphere of the Tushita home is simply good for the soul!

Food and Accommodation:

The ashram is located in the vicinity and background of the spectacular Annapurna Ranges and the crystal watered Phewa Lake. The immaculately kept rooms are furnished with beds, wardrobes, coffee tables, dresser, and needful amenities like fan, light, TV, telephone, and washrooms. Take a peek into the panoramic valley view through the large windows opening into the garden. In your leisurely moments you can sit back with a book and relax in the balcony or go downstairs in the portico to enjoy with fellow yogis. Available on both single and sharing basis, these rooms ensure you a well-rested stay.

Yogic discipline goes hand in hand with nature-based food and thorough hydration. At the retreat center, we encourage fresh-fruit, fresh squished juices, warm and satisfying soup, lots of flavorful salads, and provide a wholly nutritious vegetarian spread served thrice a day. Optimizing bodily revitalization, and overall wellness of our guest is priority one, and we will be glad to serve you vegan on prior information.

Teachers:

We are proud to present our pioneering yoga teacher-- Yogi panchavadi Rajesh Shrestha. A well acclaimed spiritual guide and a visionary owner of eco-resorts and eco-farming in Pokhara, and also a yoga and meditation teacher, his works in writing, photography, and music are available on various media. Rajesh Shrestha is also a visiting lecturer in several universities of Nepal and Japan.
